Certification

O.A.C.A.S. Certification Program 

Requirements
 
The Certification/Professional Development Committee is responsible for determining acceptability for O.A.C.A.S. certification by examining and evaluating the following: 

a. A current resume; 

b. A copy of post-secondary diploma or degree; 

c. Supervisory Officer’s letter of support and confirmation of two (2) years of employment as an Attendance Counsellor; 

d. Current active O.A.C.A.S. membership; 

e. Completion certificate of the Association’s Attendance Counsellors’ Certification course or equivalent; 

f. Completion certificates of any additional courses or workshops;  

 

In the event of a appeal of a denial for Certification, the appeal will be heard by the Executive Committee for a decision by majority vote.
